Dalton Timmis has classic bike insurance - a club member insured a 1968 Honda CB450 for its appraised value of $1900. You need an appraisal from an approved person, such as our ex-President Wolf (contact info above), or perhaps you can contact them by looking up Dalton Timmis on the net and asking for appraisers in your area. www.homeforchrome.comwill get you to their website.
Fully insured all perils, collision etc. was $305 /yr plus 1/2 of the 2 yr appraisal cost $22.50 = $327.50 per year, with monthly payments about $28.00. This is based on a theoretical approx annual km of 3000. Other members have used them also at good savings. If you have more than one classic there are additional savings to be had.

The Greater Toronto area has a vintage cafe racer group called dotheton.com. This name is from the old days when it was considered pretty hot stuff and risky to "do the ton" or go 100 MPH. I remember ny Dad telling me about going out with Norman on his Vincent to "do the Ton " in the 60's. They have a great forum for tech advice and online manual links and other very useful and active info. Check it out, they like to go retro fast.
Another Local OB supporter with a salvage yard and new parts is Woody's Cycle near Perth.
